so, this is pretty rad. banksy is a street/graffiti/whatever artist from britain. last week he paid a visit to four major museums here in New York, the MOMA, MET, Brooklyn Museum, and Natural History Museum with some paintings of his own to display. diversions were created and, with the help of some super strong glue, the paintings were hung relatively inconspicuous amongst the other "fine and time-honored" works. read news here. some pieces were discovered within the day, some not for several days. the art itself is incredible. personal/political works camoflauged as victorian period pieces, warholian pop art, and entomological specimen. check out the official banksy site for more info and pics.
