it's been a little while since my last post. my better half,pj, her computer decided to poop out on her just days before her big brain-sucking thesis paper was due. my mac stepped in for relief, processing strong under the constant type key bombardment of her studious assault. her mac came back from repairs today and alas my baby compy is back in daddy's arms. anyways, on with the content. landlord dan keyed me in on the big plant sale happening at the brooklyn botanic gardens today. offering use of his membership card he rightly encouraged me to go and check it out. this served as a good reason to visit the gardens, a place i've never been which is really silly considering i live, like, a mile away from it. by going i discovered yet another neighborhood gem and another undeniable reason why park slope is just so lovely and why i'm so happy to live here. the japanese cherry blossoms were still in full bloom, pink bunches swaying gently with the wind. and long stemmed tulips, like this here picture i took, of all pattern and colors just beginning to open up their petals. there were other people snapping close ups of flowers like myself, mostly asian like myself (who would've guessed?). i felt like i belonged. oh, and the plant sale was something else! i picked up a hanging chinese ivy prayer plant, an aurora borealis succulent, an early budding spathiphyllum, and a gorgeous broad-leaved 'moonlight' philodendron.

dear troy, i just thought id remark upon how your blog is really coming along quite nicely. these flower pics are just gorgeous. and the cherry blossoms are lovely as well. it is prime time at the bbg. also: i LOL'd at the asian camera man; thats my dad. ok, not really. hang tight, jc
dude, beautiful, and hilarious. i went on sunday during the full-scale festivities; it was wild. i recommend riding the trolley from the front entrance (near the museum) up and around grand army plaza to prospect park west. its all wood inside and they play smooth jazz.
thanks jenny! i'm glad you like the blog. i love getting feedback like this. yeah, the pictures i took do look good. it's easy to get a good shot when there is so much beauty around.
dml, maybe we can get a bottle of zinfadel and take that smooth jazzed trolley ride around the gardens together. baby.
thanks for the shoutout troy! soon enough we can go to the gardens together.
it's a date, honey. zinfandel and cherries. saturday afternoon. be there. . . i know i will :)
